A MASTERPIECE OF ENGINEERING
The Portuguese Pavilion was built for the Expo 1998 and housed the Portuguese national representation for that event.
The building’s entrance is a wide square covered by an impressive bowed structure of concrete, based on the idea of a sheet of paper laid over two bricks. This project is by Álvaro Siza Vieira, a renowned portuguese architect.
The venture was just for the period of the Expo ‘ 98, being unknown its future use.
